i love my auto...n really like how the boot and shiftknob looks...but for some reason...n no offense...this jus seems like a poser mod....dont get me wrong...its freakin bootyful and great too look at....but why would your want your auto too LOOK like a manual......when its not one....basically your making your car look like something its not.....but that shiftknob is freakin sweeeeet!!!!...me likes

 

haha pipe down? the guy is a poser like stated above. not ONLY did the guy put a boot on, but a SHIFT PATTERN EMBLEM? who is he trying to kid? people at the mall so they dont think he has a auto and laugh at him? a freakin shift pattern logo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they dont even have the same shift pattern. and pipe down? others are giving their opinions so can i, just cause its a negative one so what. if you cant take the negative with the positive, then dont do crap like that

i know I will be criticized for this already as you can see some of the posts on top. But that's what happens. Like he said you got to take the negatives with the positives. I like the shift boot look since I can't have an auto bc of insurance reasons. Plus my commute is more than 80 miles a day in gridlock traffic. It's no fun driving a manual in traffic. I dont know anyone hasving a car for less than 5 months and has more than 9k miles on it.

Also if you ever look at a BMW Auto. IT COMES WITH A SHIFT BOOT! The only thing problem is that it doesn't come with the lil faking emblem. I'll admit to how "fake" my car can be but it looks nicer to me with a shift boot and the whole ordeal. The shift pattern emblem is actually came with the OBX SpeedStar Shift ****. Plus this idea I had stolen from someone else. I would give credit to him but I would have to ask him first if he wants the bashing from our respectful SL members.

That's all I have to say, since I sux at when it comes to debating my case.

well as far as i go..i wasn't trying to bash anyone....the mod looks sweet....but ot me it looks like a poser mod...its just my opinion.....n also...i dont think he did it to "hide" his auto tranny....n no one is laughing at him cuz he got an auto....man i freakin hate it when manual owners (like tho one who wrote under my previous post) think that auto tranny's re inferior or sumthin....i dont get laughed at for driving an auto....manual tranny is not for everyone......dont hate on us for driving autos

dont you hate it when a simple sharing of ideas turns to a bash fest? i think its a good looking mod. some people just prefer to have a shift boot. btw, i dont know how urs looks because i cant seem to find your cardomain link. but i saw it on the other guys and it looks pretty good. the rectanguler trim around it seems to stick out a little though. i have an auto too and i'd do it, but yeh i went the other path and just got a red led to light up the face of the shifter. forget bout all the close minded bashers and keep up the good work!

 

I second that. Good work, looks great. I thought about doing that too, for I, wanted, but could not get a manual. I wonder if anyone has done that with the parking break... I want to do that.
