If I'm reading the specs right on the MomoUSA web site, it looks like the Combat Evo will sit about an inch higher than the stock ****. Is that about right for your Momo ****? Have you thought about cutting down the shaft by an inch, or do you want to retain the ability to go back to the original ****?

Is that the Raptor Alcantara shift ****? If it is, it's on sale at the MomoUSA site for $35.00 (originally $105.00), but they only have it listed in blue. Other colors are available on eBay starting at $39.95 (shipping included).

I hear you. I'll wait and see how my red/black Combat EVO shift **** looks before I decide to cut the shaft. I generally like to make it easy to return things to stock, but I may make an exception. I tend to keep my vehicles a LONG time and plan to keep this one for at least 10 years. So, I might be willing to shorten the shaft for 10+ years worth of use/looks and say the hell with returning it to the stock shift **** sometime after 2020.

Will do. It will probably be around the end of next week. It's coming UPS ground from Melbourne, FL to Portland OR. With the long holiday weekend, I don't expect it to arrive until this time next week. It's going in my new 2009 absolutely red RS6.0 xB.

This will be my 1st interior mod, but I'm also considering a red/black Wheelskins steering wheel cover and black/red Clazzio seat covers.

P.S. I know this is the tC forum. I hope you guys don't mind an xB owner hanging out here. You guys come up with some of the best mods. I probably wouldn't have ever leared about the black/red Momo Combat Evo shift **** if not for this thread.

Looks good. Too bad the OBX doesn't come in colors. It's half the price of the Momo.

I'm drooling on this. My color scheme is blues, but this red 1 BY FAR looks the best in the series. I don't like the blue nearly as much, so I'm getting the CHROME. It'll match the shaft, and I don't have to worry about matching different blues...

My truck is blue, and I really like the color. However, I'm totally loving having a shiny new red car again for the first time in 25 years. Red is much easier to color match (there must be about a billion different shades of blue) and there are a ton of hot accessories in red.

Anybody here seen the current issue of Projact Car magazine? They did a total rebuild of a red 88 Honda CRX. My last red car was a 84 CRX (1st year they made it). I loved that car and wish I still had it. I'd love to find one to fix up as a first car for my kids. They think they're getting my xB. Keep dreaming kiddies, the box is daddy's.

Call it the Ferrari influence. Any automotive accessory made in Italy is probably going to look best in red. It's just part of the Italian car culture.

My nephew is getting my tc in _6 years_ (he's 10)
He is stoked. Just gotta keep everyone from wrecking it!
My room mates dog ATTACKED the interior upon seeing a little dog outside the car. A rogue shopping cart was hurled into it from ALL the way across the parking lot one windy day. A lady in a Tacoma backed into it. Some complete ignoramus KEYED my car last September (can't believe I've been staring at THAT for a year). Who keys a car? HONESTLY.
So, yeah, I have big plans for the car, but a small pocketbook. I already fixed all the "dog damage", just the exterior paint needs help. I'm gonna slap some blue ghost flames on her... (she's Flint Mica)
She has sustained other damage, like 40 rock chips in the hood, bad mechanic dinged my quarter panel, etc... Thanks for letting me VENT!

It's Here! That was quick - 2 days from Florida to Oregon.

Here's a couple quick snaps of it installed (took like 2 minutes) in my 2009 xB RS6.0 with auto transmission:
