Default Avic D3 installation questions

Hi all, I just bought a brand new Pioneer Avic D3 and I've got a few questions. I bought it from Best Buy (on sale this week!) so all I have is everything that came in the box. I haven't gotten it installed yet because I have a couple of questions -

Do I need anything additional for it? I want to have it be able to play DVDs while driving. Also, I want the cover to be able to close completely. Will it allow that?

I know nothing about these kinds of things so I'd have to get either Best Buy or a local auto body to install it for me.

I'm very new to the car modding world (this is actually my first mod besides a new shift ****) so please bear with me. Thanks!

He may be right but I really do hate when people waste everyone's time with "do a search" replies. It doesn't take much to answer her questions, if you know the answers. I unfortunately do not know them all. I do know that you will need the car kit for it to be installed, you can keep the door but it needs modifications to do so and you can play DVDs while driving but some places wont modify that for you- Best Buy may be included.

Yeah, people need to learn to stop being douches on here and help one another out, I had the same question when I was first on here too and this really helped me.

Just read this and there are about 2 more DIY for the D3 on this forum, it will require quite a bit of searching and reading but it will help out alot.

The thing is, there is no reason for another thread to be made. If you had just used the SEARCH button, it would elimate this whole useless thread in the first place. And if you are so lazy and/or don't want to waste your time with searching, then why should we be so inclined to help you out or search for the already existant thread for you?

Doesn't seem fair now does it? Just use the search button next time, it's the nice red one at the top.

It is also ScionLife rule #4 which you agreed to when you registed for this forum.

So for all of us who say USE THE SEARCH BUTTON, we're not being douche bags or unfriendly, we're just tired of seeing all of these repetitive useless threads. Do us a favor next time please.
