I have an avic f700bt with the newest firmware installed in my car. To hook it up to my ipod, I didn't want to buy their cord so I got another ipod usb cord and a stereo->rca cord to hook it up sound-wise. So I have two plugins into my ipod, and I can live with this if I spend 5 dollars instead of 50. Only problem is video dosn't work. So I went and found a yellow red white rca cord that all connect to the stereo headphone jack in the ipod. So the only thing connected to the usb part is the power and the song selection part, no audio/video input. I set it up and it dosn't show any video when I select one from the ipod. Before you have to ask, I did the bypass already. Any ideas why its not working?

 

From what I have seen with the new pioneers, it is using a digital interface for everything, and requires that $50 cable to get the video to be displayed. Best of luck.

 

____, thats what I was afraid of. I ordered a 4gb sandisk card to put a couple movies on, and it came, but it was DOA brand new.. Thats what I get for 7.00 I guess. I'm going to email him/her asking to resolve it because I don't want to make a big deal over a 7.00 memory card but I want to watch movies in my car

 

Yes you need the pioneer ipod connector cord or it wont work. Just installed my avic-f90bt and ran into that.
