Ok, so, I'm putting in some 12" meteor LEDs from Oznium, the kind that has like 1 billion different modes of cool... anyway, so I was thinking as I was putting the back ones in that maybe I don't want to have moving lights... maybe I just want straight glowing tubes... and that would be great, except when you turn on the LED meteor bars they start in demo mode... and Oznium doesn't make straight glowing LED bars, so that's out...

Anyway, I've been looking around and can't figure out which LED bars are the best... cathodes are out, by the way, because the color doesn't match the plethora of single LEDs I have strewn throughout my car... anyway, so I was looking at Varad and SuperBrightLEDs... SBLEDs in particular because they came in the 12" size and were reasonably priced (though nothing beats Oznium) but I had a question... the SBLEDs ones went tube-cigadapter... most of the other tubes I've used had a transformer along the way (and no cig adapter)... since I know the adapter and transformers is to get 12 DC (that right?) current to the bars, I guess that means the SBLEDs ones can't be cut and hardwired in right? That leaves Varad, but 9" isn't long enough and 15" is way too big...

So, does anyone know of any other good LED bars, prefereably in 10" or 12"? Thanks for your help.

 

hmm.. I LOVE VARAD

yeah... just 9" and 15"... but what are you planning on lighting up also?

the light output in these bars are pretty good.

 

I'm replacing the Scion lighting under the dash and putting ones under the back of the seats... Ima move the meteors back to the trunk or into the engine compartment, haven't decided... I'm also thinkin' about putting bars under the front of the seat and along with sides to totally light up everything... this thing's already pretty blue with little LEDs all over the place, I'm just now starting the big bar projects and the guage/HVAC soldering work...

I might look into Varad again...
