ya suede is like 20/yard..

was yours kinda stretchy? if so its most likely microsuede which is basically a suede feeling microfiber. microsuede is WAY easier to use than real suede cuz it can stretch a little making it easier to go around curves.real suede(which is what i used for my matrix) doesnt stretch at all and its a pain to get it to stay flat on curves.

did you buy it online? if so, where did you get it. I'm wanting to do this as well but am having a hell of a time finding material to do it with and I don't want to pay someone out the @ss to do what i can do myself

I bought my stuff today. I got it at calico corner. A nice big bright pink building. 
Anyway, It's fake suede I got. They don't carry real suede and the lady said that the fake is the stuff you'll want cuz it is cleanable. I spent $114 on 7yards. I think it's more than I need. I was also told that that place is over priced after I went to it.
