Yea the automatic plate has to come off for the boot to fit

 

sry if i missed it somewhere..but wheres a site or place i can buy this conversion from

So is it my understanding that all you have to do is take out the auto plate and you can put on the boot for the standard and everything should be ok? how do you take off the auto plate, sorry if that seems like a dumb question...

Haha its not a dumb questions i just did mine and was thinking the same thing, it just clips on and pulls right off. Underneath everything is a bunch of different pieces and the led light is attached so don't pull too hard. The mod is really easy and thanks to SuchaCleantc for the boot!!! 10 bucks = great mod!!!

lol you have to be very board to change the key housing color lol
but i recommend the OBX shift *****, still love them, look amazing....and any idea where i can get a genuine leather boot for my automatic?

 

haha you have no idea how bored i was doing that haha, waiting for the glue to dry and i was like you know what....

I have been looking at the OBX ***** but everyoneee has them so idk if i want to get one or not, i might trade with my friend or something.

Mine is the OEM boot for a manual that i got off a guy on here but if you go to the scion dealership i'm pretty sure they have them...

 

I ordered my stuff and it comes in tuesday! I can't wait!

 

I'm being told it's $53 at 3 dealerships I've called and they're all telling me "it only comes in dark gray" is this correct? Is it just referred to as dark gray, but looks/is black?

what i was wondering was,

does that black plastic rectangle with the staple lookin clips come incuded on the boot? or is the boot you get from the dealer just the leather? cause if it comes with, i take it there arent any cheaper aftermarket kits. but if it doesn't, I'm just gunna make my own.

Anyone have a shift **** collar to push the boot up higher? I know DocIsotope sells one but I wanted to see if anyone has experience with one or has pics?

 

That's a nice subtle mod for the auto's... I prefer my 5-spd...but that does look very nice on the auto bro.
