wow i called another dealership and the guy said i needed the bezel, trim piece, and the leather. he wanted about 170? lol? i just need the leather piece right? it should come with the chrome thing on top?

 

yea all u need is the boot... and it has that chrome thing on it... i think the part number is on eht first page or so

 

did you guys really spend 50 bucks on a shiftknob? o.o tempting lol. but thats almost 100 bucks for this mod if i got that.

I also used a tight fitting rubber washer on the shifter "shaft" itself in order to push the boot up a bit so it wasn't sagging

I have gone through all the pages in this thread but I'm having trouble understanding some of details involved in this process. Some of the links to websites and pictures have gone bad so I'm confused.

From my understanding, there is a part I can order for about 40 dollars that will send me a leather boot and a plastic adapter of some kind. This is where I'm lost.

Does the kit come with this piece highlighted in red?



The leather boot is connected to this piece?

Lastly, is the only way to get this through the dealer? No one has posted a part number yet (at least that I could find).

I'd appreciate the clarification.

the part hilighted is on ur car already... comes with auto and stick...

what u get from teh dealer is a leather boot...
when u take everything apart, u just remove the plastic part that says p,r,n,d,3,2,1.... snap the boot in place and put ur console back together..

 

The boot (part number is 58808-21020-B0)

pg. 5... did u read teh thread? it even states that the ring u have highlighted is already on the car..
