good news!!!
i went to the dealer today to get my pedestal spoiler installed. the guy who helped me was coo. i told him how i talked to another guy on the phone and how they wanted to charge me $90 to do the shift boot conversion.

i gave him the directions, THANX SCION JON and he said it was simple. so i ordered the shift boot and he'll put it in for me at no charge. so i should have my shift boot conversion hopefully no later than friday. yay!!!
i'll have pics. but like SKELETOR said, i also need to look into gettin a ****, but that can wait.

thanx again Scion Jon

WRONG
I was under the impression that HIDs were measured in terms of their color temperature, such as 8000k, instead of the 9006 number, as is the stock halogen bulb? And, I thought that HID's needed ballasts, and were a lot more expensive than $7 a bulb...

That's the automatic filter that edits whatever inappropriate words are posted. I have a feeling that whoever set up the filter meant to imply that the poster was an ignorant poster for using such a backwards, degrading term, not that black people are ignorant.

The $7 bulb we wur talking about the parking lights, not headlights, but yes hids are measures in 8000k and the 9006 is like the fitment number. Real hid's for scion tc are $300+ and u can only buy them online not pep boys

HID refers to bulbs that use xenon gas to emit light rather than halogen. The color temperature is the color of the light that is emitted. HID bulbs use less power and end up being brighter than halogan, so you can say they are more efficient and are cooler (temperature wise) than halogen so they don't get burned out so easily.
