Car Speaker Experts - HELP PLEASE
Problem in Simpliest Form:
-While driving, the right door speakers (tweeter and component speaker) go off and on during bumps while driving. The best way to describe it is that the speakers will work clear and fine and then there will be a loud POP noise and they will either shut off or range of the sound band will go out (vocals will go and just bass can be heard). Then moments later on another pot hole or bump, the speakers will POP back into normal mode.
-Everything else in the car is working fine (left door, rear panel speakers, and sub)
Now I am just lost after trying to find what could be the problem. I am pretty sure it isn't the wiring because I now have the door panel off trying to locate the problem. When they are working, I have tapped the crossover and wiggled the wires around with no change in sound.
I am not sure if it is the connection to the headunit (doubt), the crossover, the wiring somewhere within the car, or the connection to the amp. It may be the amp itself.
Also some background of the system, the amp that is currently in question came off the back seat a year or so ago and was bouncing around the right rear seat wall until I found out about it and got it re-mounted to the back seat at Best Buy. Could this be the problem all along?
Please help!

Well I'm not doubting your troubleshooting ability, but I would almost guarantee that it's a wiring issue. There's no way it's mechanical. I would definitely check and re-check all connections from the RCA output on the head unit, RCA input on the amp, speaker output on the amp, speaker input on the crossover, output on the crossover, and connection to the speaker itself. If you check all of those points and all things check out, then it is either the internals on the amp or the head unit. Good luck man!

I didn't catch the Best Buy bit the first time through.
On another site, I got similar responses about Best Buy. I thought they were the best. Apparently everyone says they are the worst ever.
I am taking it to a place called Team Nutz this Saturday. They are supposed to be the best in Pittsburgh. Anyone else got recommendations?
I will never go to Best Buy again. Was I the only one that thought that Best Buy was the best for audio installations?

I'm surprised to hear that so many people have had problems with Best Buy. I had them install my subs and amp on my first car and it was a very clean and professional install. They can't be too bad since they fixed your problem for free.
^^ once in awhile you'll find one odd best buy that does good work. Most of the time they're really not that great. That's why people say to stay away from them to be safe, since most places do bad work.
so what was the conclusion to the problem?
