You may not be able to get it out immeadiately, afriend of mine has an xB and his stock HU ate his cd. After the third day, it simply decided to spit it back out .. So maybe patience will prevale. GL to ya, it seems to be a growing issue, let see if a fix put out for this.

no offense, but there won't be
its not a major issue for toyota/scion, when it happens they just send a new unit
no biggie for them

like many other people stated in threads before! "stock HU's are crap!" if you search around you'll find that alot of people including me had problems with the HU.

It sucks! Just get an aftermarket!

The stock HU is better than average for sound and features on a stock setup... but they are made by Pioneer... mine just started doing this. Carefully stick something in and push down on the cd, then hit eject again. It should spit it out then. I have spoken of this before... but I can now add mine to a list of 8 Pioneers that I or people I know have owned that did not make it two years before the cd drive mechanism failed or they started having issues playing CDs (mine is now doing that as well). As far as I am concerned, Pioneer makes THE worst cd drives there are. Sad... I used to like them.

hey engifineer ..
I agree with that about the cd mechanism.. you can add me to the list, went through a couple of stock HU's until it worked right.. Pioneer isn't the best quality, I thought that before getting the Scion and still agree. Sure it does sound better than most OEM setups.. But the quality isn't there. I wouldn't ever buy pioneer..

and hey yanki01.. you're absolutely right.. alpine baby!! had an alpine amp back from 94 still working today in a friends car.. now that's quality..
