try to find one for a toyota, same wires to tap... i think either periphial may make something like that... honestly though, get an eclipse, there made by toyota, they have the interface built into them and theres only 3 wires to tap, plus they kik the shat out of any head unit ive ever installed or heard. ive been doing car audio for 4 years, and nothing has sounded beter than an 8volt preout equiped eclipse.

^^ expensive, a pain to install, and they fail frequently. Do some research on it before you install it before you decide to open it up and can't return it

isn't the swi-x the infared one? that's the one you use if you have a wireless steering wheel control adapter in the HU?

I think you really need the swi-ps but it depends on which HU you end up getting...

I got the pac swi-ps w/ the plug since the pioneer avic has a plug for the pac remote adapter... i'd be surprised if the other ones didn't.

Just to expand the question without starting a new topic...

I have the '06 Ipod stereo. Is there any that uses the functionality of the harness & dock already there? Or would it be a completely new wiring job.

Basically I am looking for an aftermarket replacement that I dont have to mess withe the SW controls or the Ipod connector harness/wires.

Anything like that?

Most of the Eclipse units will give you the steering wheels controls out of the box, just have to plug that extra plug in. As for the ipod jack, I'm going to guess No w/ any aftermarket HU. not sure how the stock unit is wired, but most aftermarket units will require an ipod adapter sold separately from the head unit.
