Anyone done it? I need to change them.... im thinking about just doing away with them. Im doing the headliner in suede and need them to match or at least go with the color a bit

 

just shave em when you do the suede

 

Other then the velcro the handles help hold the liner in place. I did away with my visors instead.

 

You could always buy a sheet of flat ABS plastic, cut out pieces that match the base of the handles, and paint them the same color (or highlight them) as your headliner.

I'm getting rid of my handles too, but because they squeak and rattle, to the extent it's become unacceptable.

 

I was debating on shaving them... that was a last resort.

 

Paint them a matching color.

 

I like the oh shiiite handles ... they are fun! People hold them when you drive crazy as a fun joke ... at least for me they do ... and I think it is a joke ... hahaha. Ummm ... I think you should paint them ... or wrap them in suede???

 

I was like, "WTF is an ohhh $h!+ handle?!?!.... ohh... that ohh $h!+ handle..."

 

Ever wonder why they put one on the driver's side???

 

I would have to guess it's there to drive us insane, due to all the noise they make so close to the left ear.

 

The "younger" market Scion is aimed at needs assistance to get in and out of their vehicles. You know all of us with joint and muscle paint, etc etc. LOL

 

I shaved mine in my other car
I think it is more of a joke when I drive all crazy and my friends go to grab the oh **** handle but there aint none there! ahahah suckas

they are just cliped in not bolted in
