Default changing hazard light color

Anyone done this? as in, not only changing the led but fabricating the see thru triangle on the button to not be orange plastic? something tells me it wouldnt be worth it. but if anyone has a semi easy way, that'd be nice.

you'd need some plastic molding skills to fabricate a completely new plastic button piece..

if molding is easy for you than it's easy... if you don't know anything about it... then obviously it's gonna be a bit more difficult to do.

"easy" is relative.

Except that the button window is colored red.. so no matter what color you put over it you will have a mix of it and red. Kind of like how the redline stays red, or semi red when you do an led swap. If you find some combination that looks good to you, then that may work, but most combos will most likely look red, dark red or faded red in color.

I have never tried to remove the red from the inside of it. If you can then you can add a colored film to make it whatever color you want.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I actually had a spare button I tried to dremel the triangle out of. Then thought of putting a plastic film behind it, but the shape didnt end up looking that great so I didnt go further with it. oh well....I think I might just take the led out. I'd rather there be no light at all then have it be red. kills the look of all blue Im going for.
