I was wondering for the people who have, the newer 2006 models and have it hooked up to an ipod video... can you basically play movies on the go? or does it give you that normal alpine logo on your ipod? very curious..

 

No... there is no video capability with the iPod upgrade.

 

and its still a pioneer HU, the iPod HU upgrade. Alpines are in the xB RS3 (stock).

As for Aftermarket, someone asked before about video ipod out to a HU with a screen. It can't be done through a normal ipod hookup, but hypothetically it could be done through an mini-to-RCA cable that carries Vid and Audio. As I said, hypothetically, as I don't have an Ipod and don't know if the video models can output video or not.

I also believe we misunderstood him ack. I think he means with a New a/m Alpine HU installed, not any Scion upgrades.
If that is what he meant, then what I said in my 2nd paragraph holds.
