i had a feeling it was time to replace the baffels...speakers didnt hit as hard anymore but i had no idea how bad they were,lol check these pictures out ....started as 3/4 MDF but the moisture made it swell up to about 2 inches in some places of the baffel
...they been installed for a bout a year and a 1/2 ...they fell apart just by touching them,lol








i made new ones and a spare pair as well

Geez. You didn't spray paint them at least? I spray painted the ones I made because I knew they would absorb moisture if I didn't.

 

You should cover MDF baffles with a coat of fiberglass resin to keep this from happening.

haha yeah they been on for over a year ...speakers are fine ...just infinity perfects so i dont care to much if they get ruined, it will motivate me to buy better ones ...yea i spray painted the new ones i made , fiberglass resin is a good idea ...ill do that for the next set
