Climate Control Light
I have a 2007 Scion tC and just recently have had a problem with the light on the climate control. The light works normally, but when I turn the headlights on, it goes out. So at night I can't see the time, temp and climate control info. The dealership told me the circuit board is going bad and needs to be replaced. They told me the circuit board is $680 plus installation. That is way to much just to fix a small light.
Does anybody know if there is a cheaper route to fix this? Does anybody sell these circuit boards cheaper?

Engifineer has the DIY instructions on www.yoursciontc.com under the lightning section of the forums. I cant post link since for some reason the site isnt opening atm.
To take the waterfall off, theres DIYs all over, even on youtube that gives u a nice step by step

geez, brand new from the factory, it's more like $300. that stealership is indeed one... call or e-mail scion corp directly if that dealership is trying to screw you over that much.
if you've modified it though, they can't do much and you can just follow the instructions in the thread linked above
