pac swi and avic d3 question
Ok i got a question for us avic d3 owners with steering wheel controls.
Ok if you are listening to the radio and press the up down arrows(track switcher while listening to cd) does it scan or change your presets?
If it changes your presets can you tell me what to switch cause mine only scans one station at a time.

no... its is not your D3. The installer programed the SWC module like that (its not a bad install, its just not programed to your liking). you need to have them reprogram it if you wish. its all on how its programed. the SWIPS does not know which button does what, the installer has to "tell it" what each button is by programing the button with the corresponding feature. since no car has 9 buttons on the SW, you have to pick and choose from the following ... (these notes are from the install manual found on http://www.pac-audio.com/instruction...mSearch=SWI-PS)
06-14-07
Programming the SWI-PS to Control the Head Unit (cont.)
1. Volume Up
2. Volume Down
3. Mute
4. Track Up/Seek Up
5. Track Down/Seek Down
6. Source
7. Preset Up/Disc Up
8. Preset Down/Disc Down
9. Band
The SWI-PS must be programmed in the specific order shown below. If a function is not needed, it may be skipped.
Example: If you have a vehicle with only 3 functions, and you want to program Volume Up, Volume Down and Source.
