what is the difference between the on/off switch and the on/off/on switch? which is better? which should i buy?

 

you need a 2 position switch, aka ON-OFF

ON-OFF-ON is for things that react different when voltage is applied to different points on teh circuit, or if you want to control 2 circuits via 1 switch.

ex- if you have interior cathodes and interior led's. you can use an on-off-on switch to wire the cathodes + led's separately. doing this though, you wouldnt be able to turn both on at the same time.

 

k thanks....ya if i add more than what i am gettin now i want them all on the same switch...to many switches is a pain in my ___ lol....im gonna hae one switch for all interior...thne if i go exterior im gettin one switch for all of those.

ok so i am placing my order and it looks as follows
2 sets of blue cathodes
2 transformers
1 scion rocker switch
15ft of red 18awg
15ft of white 18awg
is that right? or should i get the wire somewhere else?

 

the dual cathode set comes w/ a transformer.....

buy the wire @ autzone. it;s 5 bucks for a roll of 100ft or something.

 

ya but u need a transformer for each cathode cuz they dont reach..

my bad... i thought you were only shining the front footwells. you know... you should of actually gotten 4 complete cathode sets. glowing the rear wells took a little ingenuity and i needed to ziptie two tubes together and hang that whole thing from the bottom of the set. 1 bar didnt sit low enough to shine light past the cloth on the backside bottom of the seat.

i might try running them to the bottom of the backseat, like right at the botoom of the cushion facing the front seat, but im not sure. im sure i will figure something out to make them look good.
