ok i just installed UV cathodes and they arent bright only when u wear light colored clothes... so i was wondering if htey made purple cathodes that arent UV

ok dumb question... i only want to do the front footwells so does that mean 1 set of cathodes or 2, and should i get 12 inch or 4 inch or does it not matter?

get 2 sets, and get the 12" version.

because the wires connected to the cathode are only 6" long or so, and can't be extended, you need to have a transformer for each footwell.

you dont need 2 sets for just the front, 1 set is gonna be plenty bright...

true, 1 tube will be bright enough... but the problem lies with getting the tubes mounted while only using 1 transformer. the power and ground wires running to the transformer can be as longa s you want... on the other hand though, the wires from the opposite end of the transformer to the cathode itself cannot be extended. this only gives you like 6" of wire to play with. it's a real stretch to get the cathodes mounted in the front footwells knowing this.

well thats why u get an extra transformer like i did....so you have a transformer for each cathode

lol... that's what i'm talking about!

i just would buy two complete sets so you have extra cathodes incase you kick one and it breaks.

well dont put them on the floor where u can kick them....its not hard to put things where ur feet dont go

i know how to instal cathodes dude...

some passenger may not realize that you have breakable pieces of glass mounted to the panel under your glove box and kick his feet in there by accident.
