Default Cold Cathodes finally installed

Finally, with the help from AcidDrop, i got my cold cathodes installed!!
From seeing the work he was doing today..wow..a lot more than I expected and I was really impressed with his work. Forgot to take a pic of his car, but a great guy to work with for sure. here are couple of pics:

now the last pic comes out differently when actually looking into the car. Might get
new cathodes or something but really satisfied right now. Next interior job will be changing the interior gauge and HVAC lights. Thx again AcidDrop

Wow those look great! Where did you get them from and how much? How did you do your switches?

it would be really cool if you could wire those up to go on when you unlock the car. very luxury like.

got these from svc. I think it's the cheapest site out there for cathodes. and to answer shupe31, i think you do not need a switch to make that happen but good idea ;)

I wouldn't think it would be too hard. you would just have to wire it into your dome light

idk what a switch has to do with anything... but yeah, something wired to the dome light.

I plan on installing mine soon, and I will wire them to a on-off-on switch, with one on being wired to the dome light, and the other always on. That way I can have them off, on with the doors, or on always.

sounds like a good idea.

and night87, if you're really interested, https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...150681#2150681
you could use this DIY as a reference. It will show you how to tap them into your dome light.

if not, oh well, jsut figured I'd throw it out there for anyone else

Looks great and the white is clean and bright but it's hard to match cathodes to the dome lights since the white usually have a cool blue to them, and as for wiring them to the dome lights it can be done and also with a on-off-on switch just like how rcf22 was telling you about. if you get the chance to come to the meet tonight i'll show you one that i helped do with the lights turning on when the doors are opened and with a switch as well. And your you welcome and i'm glad that you like how they came out...anytime man.

Looks good. Would have liked to see them match better. I put white under my girlfriends dash but it was more of an eyesore than eyecandy. Replaced with amber flexible led strips to match the dash and it looks way sexy, especially when driving. (Plus dome lights are amber led's as well, gives it a great effect)
