just purchased a 2006 TC for my daughter. Car is in excellent shape and everything works well. I do have one issue that I can't seem to figure out. The dome light does not come on when the keyless unlock in activated. Not sure if this feature in included in this model? also the dome light is intermittent when the drivers door is opened. i have removed the switch cleaned it and it checks out good with the meter.any help or clarification would be appreciated.

 

sounds like maybe the previous owner installed an after market alarm and may have messed with the "supervisory circuit". That is the one that turns on the dome after unlocking, and the light brightens up gradually. After getting in and closing the door, it should then gradually dim to off after several seconds.


If there was an alarm system installed, that may also explain the intermittent light with the door open. Maybe a loose wire somewhere. I used to have all the wiring diagrams, but not sure where they are now. If I find them I will send you the appropriate ones.

Thank you for the info and the diagram. The alarm is a factory unit i believe. I know that when its activated the horn goes off. I think that its some kind of interior light control module. when I get time i will look at the diagram and try to trouble shoot.
