Default corbeau trs chegget

So I got these bayboys off of craigslist for $50, i said what the heck for $50 i cant loose. But before I went to pick them up i got cold feet, so I called corbeau and asked if i can get new seat covers and they said YES!!! For new cloth it runs $89 each, so I asked for the microfiber and they are $140 each. So used TRS $50+$280 for seat covers total of $330 for almost brand new seats!!!

While search for seat rails, I got curious once again I asked the guy that I bought it from he said it came out of a 99-00 mustang cobra. Searching on corbeau about their seat rails, that year mustang uses TYPE E rails, and guess what our tC uses TYPE E rails!!! SCORE, the rails run $99 each, so according to DEZODs site it cost it would have run me about $930 for the pair. So i basically saved $600 bucks!

Onto the pictures:

and one day hopefully it will look like Dezods tC

Now I just have to figure out how to get around the side airbags.... [/img]

I took a look at what all is connected to the OEM passenger seat, 2 wires that goes into the seat. one yellow plug, and a white (i think thats the color) plug. Wish someone knew of any resistor mods for it.

there are prob pretty few people that want to get rid of air bags so i dont see that happening - you might want to try and contact someone that has done it ...going to have to do a search or start another post on it. someone might come along but i would assume you will have to look around

I know theres side curtains airbags, but I believe there is an airbag in the seat also. I know the mini cooper folks have that problem too when switching to racing seats. They use a 4.7ohm resister to bridge the connection for the seat airbag. So I dunno....

Side airbags are an option not all tCs have them. I did not want to pay extra for them and my 07 does not have them. What you will need to do is take apart the seat bottom to get the weight sensor for the airbag out of the seat and then install it in the seat bottom of the Corbeau seat. I have not done it myself but I have heard it is not too hard to do.

im not worrying about the weight sensor so much as the airbag that is in the seat itself. I dont want the airbag light to be lit all the time.

here's a pic of the seat airbag just to show that it is in there.
