Cost of Leather interior...
I was thinking about making the seats in my Tc have leather interior. Does anyone know approx. prices for doing so. Any estimates will help because I dont know if it would cost a couple hundred or thousand.

If a dealer works you over and convinces you... around 1500 usually, which is too much....
If you go to a good local interior shop... aim for around 1000 bucks or so... maybe a lil less sometimes.
Katzkin makes a leather set that comes pretty cheap if you install it yourself, but you'd have to pay for someone to do it if you want a surely good job....

and frankly i don't know anyone who would install a kit for $1k in NY. for kits you have two options...katzkin and classic trim.
I had mine installed by AutoTrim Design in Seattle. Including two tone, perforation, and front seat heaters, it cost me about $2000. It was worth every penny in my opinion. I love it every time I get into the car and smell and feel the leather, or turn on the seat heaters.

1-yes, they did the door panels and the back panels. This picture is not the best but it shows a bit of the panel.
2-the switches are for the seat heaters. They each have a high and a low setting.

Holy wrinkled back seats, batman!
Go to hot rod shows... meet people who have custom interiors, find the smaller shops.... 1000 isn't unheard of for an AWESOME job from a small shop
IMHO, the hot rod interior guys kick the other interior shops butt... GREAT attention to detail.

Anyway...
I got a black (REAL!) leather seat set and all four door panels (faux leather) plus the arm rest off ebay for $400-$500 (was back in march and can't remember) but they were SO worth it! HIGH quality!!...found an installer that would do it for $300.00...but really you don't need an installer if you understand the concept/step by step of how to put them in and have a little patience..sure you could get some help and even pics for some peeps on the site
