Default Custom LED Gauges

Does anyone know of any links or other forums on here that give detailed instructions on how to swap LEDs for the gauges in an 07 scion tc?

It is there and I have the hvac mod writeup I did here on scionwiki.com now along with my needle painting guide. If you are looking for parts give me a shout and I will point you in the right direction as well.

how much do people usually charge to have this done? i've heard its very difficult to work with leds like this and the slightest mishap can cost lots of money.

ehhh.. there's alot of leeway for messing up.. but really, you should still take your time and take precautions nevertheless.

most people seemed to have more trouble dealing with the hvac itself, as desoldering the large lcd is a little tricky for some people..

many have broken it because they were not careful.. and that is a costly thing to fix and replace.

the gauges on the other hand... while more difficult to mess up, if and when something does happen... since the odo reading is stored on the cluster itself... a replacement is something you don't want to have need.

but i have seen many people who have never touched a soldering iron before in their life.. practice a little bit.. and with some guidance perhaps, time, and just being careful... do their entire car fine.

i'm pretty mechanically inclined to do a lot of stuff, but i'm in a situation now that i haven't had a license in 7 months and i can't go without my car again. with that, how much do co. charge to do this and where might i find someone who does?
