So far the setup looks good, would like to see it finished. I give you props for attempting such an idea.

my components won't be going anywhere near the airbags.

are you referring to his placement of the controller jacks under the glovebox?

there is no air bag there ...how the hell would it fit with the shifter and such behind it lol

theres no air bag! if there was i wouldnt put it there lol

um im going to just build a mini box and cut the holes to plug the power and rca cable into

and the rest of it will be enclosed say like it will be mounetd to the bottom of the box and it will have 3 sides to it so you cant see it or at least 2

we will see the project will start after i run for a oil change

Hey all, I found this site looking for info about my friends tC, b/c she is too "incompetent" to do it herself. I saw this thread and thought I might share my past experiences. I did both of the installs in my 2003 Lightning. Too bad it is gone now.

1st version

2nd version

I like the DVD drive ejecting with the HVAC controls mounted on it.

Very slick.

i could do it if i had the token machine

news update:
xbox powers up and ejects and the harddrive is reading ...the only issue is the controllers but thats because they arent hard wired yet (hard wiring now) and then we will have power! but i dont have tvs or the actaul converter yet ...so it will be another week before its playable but its still on a show level

Hey man good luck with it - just FYI i have kinda the same thing going on, except mine isn't for gaming its for music (w/ xbox media center)...i have the actual box in the trunk, then a COMPLETELY custom made controller is integrated into the driver's side door, basically my left hand can control everything (flipping through albums and everything). Think NES powerglove except attached to the door....
my screen is a kenwood DDX-7015, works great plus i can flip the cover over it when i park in a "questionable" areas...
