Ok guys... I'm somewhat new to the audio side of things. I SEARCHED alot first lol.

I'm looking at building a sub box like the ED stealth one, but I want to put like 2-10's or I think I saw somewhere somebody put 3-8's or something. Anyways, I've never built a box before. What should I make this out of? I'm no expert with fiberglass, so unless someone can convince me I'm capable of building that, thats outta the picture. But would like carpeted wood work? Do I need to port it? Etc?

Well with 2 10s your CU is gonna be not enough to really work well,now something has not been tried by anyone.build the box to the height that the flase floor would be raised to,the edge of the trunk trim by the latch is the comman area for this,then you should be very close to be able to fit 2 10s in a box at floor level,very close,build false floor over rest of the spare and such and you might be fine.

question is you got miter saw,and table saw and router and some skill.

 

I can work with wood pretty well. And carpeting and such as well. Just fiberglass I've never tried.

3 8"s maybe overkill. Go with 2 10"s. You'll definitely be fine. Go check out some shallow-mount subs.
Lastly, be prepared to deaden the hatch area or you'll rattle like a ****.

No, they are two 10s. Pioneer shallow subs.

The box was custom made by a guy here on the message boards. He made a few them and I believe he can make them for you if you ask for it.

You will have to search for his thread because I forgot his screenname.

Ok now I see lol. Even if you lay the carpet down can you set stuff on those? I wouldn't think so.

 

If you are worried about that, just do not cut the hard trunk cover. That why there will be more protection on the subs.
