hey i recently bought a d3 off a friend of mine and he sold me a messed up unit lol he says it was working at the time he sold it to me now the cd player says mechinisiom error and makes a noise that is weird when i hit the eject button everything else works does anyone have any idea how to fix a buddy of mine said i could hook up a external disk changer and that would solve my problem but idk how the navi would work on a external cd changerrr i dont listen to cds all i am trying to do is get my navi diskk workkk any ideasss ??????

try this... when you eject the dvd navi, poke a small screw driver in the cd slot and when you see the cd, push it down a little bit... my n1 has done this and i just figured out how to eject my navi disc... dont be scared, and no, im not kidding... give it a try... go slow.

i don't understand how it could be working before hand, and now it just mysteriously doesn't. sounds like you got the short end on the stick.
im thinking that he either knowingly sold you a brick or maybe one of you accidently dropped it and caused it to mess up.
the cd changer idea is not gonna work for ya becuase neither a cd changer or a dvd changer can read the information off the navigation disk. Either get it fixed or sell it.

ya he is a dickk loll he isnt like a good friend he is just someone i no it was a good pricee lol ya he has some rims and has been dicking me around on those 2 idk how much would it cost to fix cuz i will shell like 150 if i can get 350 in the endd idc i have one working in my car noww he told me he sold it to me working and he doesnt no what happened lol i didnt do anything to ittt lol
ya he iss lol idk i should have done a big test before i bought it but we groundwired it and everything worked never put a cd in i figureddd that it if the screen came on it workedd
