would led's this size be too big for say...lighting up some air vents and speaker grills in my tC? I see alot of led's are 3mm or 5mm....figure I could use bigger ones to my advantage for more light. Any opinions? experiences?

Get some 5mm LED's from www.oznium.com and you can see them from the space shuttle

I am actually looking into making some special LED lighting for the vents. The thing I dont like about the ones I have seen is that you can see the LED, so there is a bright spot in the vent. These will diffuse the light nicely and mount so that you cant see the actual led as easily, so there is a nice even glow from inside the vent. Let me know if people are interested in this... it would motivate me more to work on it
