uhh.. the directions that come with any factory accessory were made to be able to be understood by the dumbest of techs/mechanics at dealerships..

(oh come on.. like seriously... the AEM oil cap that was offered back then came with instructions!)

if you can't follow them.. i dunno what else to say man..

In my experience, very few DIY's are documented very well. There are some really good ones here on SL, but generally, you're going to see more info in the included instructions than a DIY posted here.

Not to thread jack, but I've actually found the opposite. I've used a good number of the DIY's (granted, most of which were for things that would not have otherwise come with instructions) but I for one am thankful for the tech section and the countless DIY's.

That being said:

If you can't do it with the DIY/Instructions, you shouldn't probably be doing it in the first place...

I agree that the tech section of this sight is very, very nice and there are some fabulous DIY's in there. It is my -opinion only- that some are not as well documented as others. That was more my point.

Back to the original topic, if installation of something in a car is beyond what you feel you can do, there is no shame in having someone else help or do the installation for you. Good luck.
