How does the sound compare to it just being normally up? I was thinking of making a downfiring box because I am getting another w6 and would like it to be out of the way of dangerous things people like to throw into my car.

try pointing your sub box downwards and put some kind of spacer between the box and the floor so the sub doesn't make contact with the floor. then see how it sounds.
