Default Driver Side Window One-Touch Broken

Hey guys, long time lurker on these forums, first post on here.

Firstly, thank you all for the valuable info you've given me, and believe me, there's been a lot. Secondly, I tried a good thorough search before I posted this.

That being said, yesterday I installed a sub and an amp, and 2 new front speakers into my tC. During the process, I had the head unit unplugged, the HVAC unplugged, and both doors removed (which means the power locks and power windows were unplugged). I had the negative and the positive off of the battery too, each for about a minute.

Checked all my fuses, they're all good.

I know also that I need to reset the power windows after removing power like this. I did this, and the passenger one worked no problem.

But my driver one will not reset. In fact, when I turn the key to the on position and try to lift up halfway (so as not to use the "one touch" feature), it won't go up at all. I have to pull all the way up on the switch to get it to move. And, after trying a couple times, it slowly loses power and I have to turn the key off and back on to get it to come back. If I just ignore the one touch feature though, the window will work fine.

Any ideas? Thanks!

unhook the negative terminal on your battery for 5 minutes, then put it back on, run the car for 5-10 minutes letting it relearn everything, then try to reset it again...a lot of times when i reset mine, i can't do the whole "lift it up halfway" feature but the windows reset fine. Just try that, if it doesn't work, then take it to the dealer and put your warranty to work...just don't tell them about your install that you did...just say it stopped working

sounds like theres a bad connection on the drivers door. take off the door pannel and make sure everything is snug.

If you had the switches unplugged and the battery unplugged the switches have lost their factory programming. I dont remember exactly what the sequence is but it is in the manual.
