hit harder, prolly on a meter... sound better, YES! (thats not a dynamat result, its a deadening result.)

 

dynamat is a sound deadener... it helps with sound as in keeping outside noise and other stuff away...

it doesn't make your system hit any harder... it's sound deadening..

 

It also helps the car sound a bit less like a tin can!!! yay!

 

This is one thing you can never have enough of. My car has somewhere around 350lbs of it, and I couldn't be happier. Matt stalled it 3X the day we put the car back together, because he couldn't hear the muffler!

How many layer you put on??

i was hauling 320 LB of cement , and the tc felt sluggish.
I think I will use 100 LB if i ever sound deaden my tc.

 

We used 3 different types of materials. The floor has 2 layers of "normal" butyl damping, then a layer of 1/4" foam and 1/8" rubber. The vertical metal panels (doors, rear quarter panels) have 2 layers on the outside, one on the inside. The trunk has two layers everywhere. The interior panels have a thick layer of Owens Corning Acoustic Blanket (sound isolation used in movie theaters) between the metal and plastic panel.
