Okay im new to this audio and navigation system stuff. I have the Ipod deck setup from factory installation on my Scion TC..Im planning on installing the Eclipse AVN5495 and I was wondering if I would lose my Ipod Capability, Steering wheel controls (volume track/change), through the AUX from the arm rest compartment.

When installed will i need extra parts or wires??

Oh yeah is there a way to disable dvd audio and play a song at the same time so that the dvd is still running?

How about dvd's playing while the car is in motion.. how will i enable it to do that?

you will loose your ipod capability and your steering wheel controls if you get an aftermarket head unit. i dont know if eclipse makes it but i know that alpine and pioneer has a ipod interface. the Pioneer Car Deck Interface Adapter for Apple® iPod™ Model: CD-IB100. you can get them from Best Buy or other reatailers. now you will have to get a steering wheel module to use steering will. they can run from about 80 to 150$. there are two types. there is a direct plug in and a wireless one. this wireless model has to have line of sight just like a tv remote. most upper end head units have a direct port input. you will have to go to a mom and pop shop to get this part.

keep in mind i already have the AUX setup in the armrest compartment..cant that just hook up to the Eclipse head unit?
