Default eDead in process..have a question now.

I'm in the process of edeading my car. I have two layers on the back quarter panels and a single layer on the trunk floor and doors (both exterior and interior skins). My question is, is it worth removing the front seats and deadening the floor? Will it make a HUGE difference? What should i focus on the most? And also, do i need to seal off the access holes in the front door?

I need a reply asap! thanks for your help!

When you say the access holes in the front door, do you mean the holes in the bottom of the door that let water drain? Cuz that would be a no-no.

But as to your other questions, I can personally vouch for deadening your doors with at least 2-3 layers of eDead. Made my newly installed components sound even more amazing! And does wonders for the stockers too. Also makes the doors a LOT more solid when closing. However, I'd concentrate my efforts on the floors under the front two seats, since it's where you are and where you are hearing road noise, and the doors.

I can't really tell you how much of a difference there will be since I haven't done it yet, but just common sense tells me it would be quite noticeable.

Anyway, good luck! Do as much as possible!

no, not the drainage holes, but the huge access holes in the doors. they allow you to reach the outer skin.

OH okay. Yea I just put eDead over the entire door. Cut out smaller pieces for the pockets in the vapor barrier where the crash foam goes and filled it all in. When you pull off my door panel, all you see is deadening and speakers. So yes, cover up the whole thing, including the access holes. It can't hurt anything.

If you're using edead v1se I would do at least two layers on the outer skin of the doors. The trunk floor should also get a 2nd layer as there is a ton of road noise from the back area.

I did one layer on the outer skin, as much of it I could reach anyway, and 2 on the inner all over with 3 layers right around the speakers.
