It's the impedance(resistance) of the subwoofer. You should get whatever will match the amplifier you're getting. Higher resistance runs cooler and gives you a more stable setup...but you usually get less power than the same amp running at a lower impedance.

With the Nine.4, you'll want an S4 (single 4 ohm VC) subwoofer

Nope. Sub + box = $205. Amp = $185 but he can just drop in components when the time comes. Wiring kit, $45.

So it's a little over $400, but when he wants front speakers, they've got amp power already

ehqs12? the best subwoofer $25 will buy. it'll need a bigger box than the sq10, kvs, and ovs. If you're comparing the sq10 and the ehqs12...its sort of apples and oranges. The sq10 brillance is its shallow mounting depth and its box size efficency. The ehqs12's brillance is its price point....blow it? buy another try again. Each line of eD is focusing on a certain area...but they all sound great...

i eD

better buy in terms of what?

2 ehqs12 = $50 vs 1 sq10 = $50....

the ehqs's will be louder....a lot louder if you port them. its simple ...you'd be able to give the ehqs more power and even if you didn't they'd move more air based on so much more cone area.

sound quailty? probably fairly close...although i'd never heard either of them, i'd tend to think of the sq10 as being closer with the K - serise in terms of sq, so I'd give the nod to the sq10.

now try fitting an ehqs under your seat or in the compartment in the trunk? good luck. This is where the sq10 shines.

you want to save your trunk, and don't need to be hella loud? then buy the sq. if you want to get loud and don't care about space saving and you're on a budget buy the ehqs.

Thanks, but the rest of my stuff that I need for the install is still in the mail as well, and Chris will be over this thread sometime. Nothing I need to tie up the phones with.

Yeah, better in an e-mail or a call, but I'll just post it

Our UPS man = very early the last couple days. It'll go out today, we've been insanely busy and when UPS is here an hour and a half early and we start shipping an hour and a half late...well...yeah.

I went and told Alex to get it out today though

Now I'm off to help make sure everything gets out before the weekend and we get more tC SQ10 boxes cut and assembled.

Thanks for keeping me working
