Yeah I am gonna take some pics of the setup tomorrow when I am off work.
Basically the switch is a hood pin that come with most alarms. It pushes the metal rod down which disconnects the negative wire until the hood is raised and it let's the rod touch the post. It has a regular end that u can put a clamped end on. So u can even disconnect whatever u plug to it and easily swap things out.
I will take some photos of how it works tomorrow. Super easy to do.
