Default factory HU - aux

I just found out the there is an aux in the armrest. i have the stock headunit not upgraded at all, so could i play my ipod through that? what cord would i need? Because i just bought a new sony CDX-GT300 HU and it gets installed tommorrow, but i can alwasy return it if i want. So can the factory HU that comes with the car play the ipod, should i keep the aftermarket HU?

Yes it can play. You need an 1/8in to 1/8in cord and will connect to your headphone jack. You can pick this up from Radio Snack, Wal-mart, etc. usually.

Just look in the headphone section of walmart. It has the same tip on each end. You'll know it when you see it.

Whoa, for real? I feel like a dumb for never knowing that. This is good news, since my iTrip committed suicide recently.

Just make sure it's "male to male". There are all sorts of cords out there. The "female" connection is a hole. While the "male" connection is a pin. Get it?!!
