Hoping someone can help me out here...

I just picked up a tC from a dealer and it had the factory interior LED kit...I have the illumination button, the two LEDs in the cup holders...however....

somewhere between the last owner and the dealer I bought it from, the two tubes under the front dash were taken. There are two cut wires on both passenger and drivers side, as well as cut zip-ties.

So the question is, besides me going back to Scion and spending an arm for factory lights, is there anything out on the market that is pretty much an exact match (voltage, etc...?). Are the factory underdash lights Neon or LED? I'm pretty bummed as I just found this out tonight when I got the car home and it was dark out.

They have the kits on ebay for like $25. They are leds in a 4 hub configuration with a glass tube illuminated by them.

 

I don't see any pair of normal LED tubes on Ebay - just kits such as this...

Is that what you are referring to? I want to make sure I can connect it to the existing factory LED wiring and control it with the illumination button.

 

Does anyone have a good link? I'd like to repair the illumination kit this weekend if possible!

 

Gotto Oznium.com.........get the Cold cathode 12"kit for $6.95 plus shipping in what ever color........and install it in the place of the stock tubes.........it is the cheapest and best .....they are so bright I wil lnever go to anything else ........I have the orange stock kit so I was unable to do the orange cathodes as they are more off white but the blue kit is bright.............and easy to install.......

 

Thanks for the link - but I really want to go LED to match as close as possible to the factory. This might be a good idea for some other areas of my car though...
