Firewall-Underglow
im trying to route some switches but i cant find a place to get wires through the firewall any suggestions... and has anyone been able to get stock switches to fill those spaces i just installed some fogs as well
the firewall route is on the drivers side. poke your head under the drivers seat and invert yourself. look up under the dash about 18" north of the dead pedal and you will see where it is on the interior. once you see that you will know where to look in the engine bay.
fitting the wires through will take some patience and proabably a coat hanger. you may need to slice the rubber gasket too.
oznium has some nice rocker switches that fit perfectly. i use the lighted one so i know when the accessory is 'hot'

I was having trouble trying to route things through as well, but I was determined to figure it out... so I decided that I would take pics for you.
These are pretty self explanitory.

This is the inside of the car... right under the drivers side.

This is the ouside of the car.
There is another way to get through the firewall on the passenger side, but I don't know where the outlet inside is... I just saw the plug under the hood.
When going through the rubber seal, I highly recommend you cut an "x" in it then use a hanger to poke though (as I have done in the above pictures). Once the hanger is inside (or outside... whatever floats your boat), I found that the best way to get anything through the seal was to tape it to the hanger then pull it through with the hanger. Just make sure that you tape it really well.
You can also cut off part of the seal, but I don't recommend you do this unless you seal it back up when you are done.
