Default Front Seat Lever to get in rear

ok in a first gen tC you pull up the lever on the side of the seat and then the whole seat slides up.

So now that lever does nothing when i slide it up. i can still grab the bar under the front of the seat and slide the seat forward and the side lever to flip forward the top but nothing on the top lever

anyone know how to fix?

Bump. I'm having the exact same problem. Mine will lean forward, but not slide forward with the top lever.

The only way to fix is to be able to take apart the upholstrey and check the cables... other than that you have to replace the seat

Do you know how to take apart a seat? I haven't done one before. I have the RS3 seats if that makes a difference. Kinda starting to think that it isn't worth the trouble.

I have no clue on how to start breaking down that seat.... Search if there is a diy on reupholstering a seat on here. u might be better ordering a new one or pic/pull yard. might not be an rs seat though

I did a quick search the other day and all I found were diys about taking out the seat, but I'll look again a little closer. I might just leave it because I really like the rs3 seats. The pass side still works and I can slide the driver seat without memory so I think it'll do for now. Maybe if I get bored one day.

you should be able to pull the covers off and inspect them. the latch might be stuck. if you can get to them pb plast them to break and clean it up and then silicone spray to lube them up
