Default Gauge Cluster Miles? help!!!

I think I've read this somewhere before, but I'm not quite sure.... But if i were to buy a gauge cluster from somebody else who has LED swaps already and put it in mine, would it affect my total miles? I'm not sure if its stored on my clusters or if its stored by my ECU.... anyone know?c

your miles would be off because it is stored in the cluster.

if it has less miles...dont get it. if you take your car into any auto place that records mileage, that may be recorded onto carfax. if they see that your mileage has been reversed in time, they will flag it as a rollback....which would suck if you ever try to sell it. that happened to me with my ralliart.

It WILL go on carfax. The only way around this and the only way to have it not affect your resell value is having documentation showing that the gauge was replaced by a certified shop.

The Techstream can change the miles to what you have on the car. Get it and take it to the dealership and have them set it
