Default Glove box arm problem

I don't really know what it's called but my girlfriends glove box just falls down really fast because the little arm that slows it down keeps coming off. The arm is located on the right side of the glove box and the part that looks like it's causing the problem is the piece of the glove box that attaches to that little arm. Any one else have this problem and is there are DIY solution?

it just snaps on. push hard because it may have popped off and if I remember right, they aren't as easy to put back on as they are to take off. You are talking about the plunger. I took mine off too because it was squeaky and I needed room for my engine management. Just hold the glove box on the way down, problem solved.

Yeah it's clipped to the glove box, but the thing is, when it gets hot, it warps a bit and comes off. Looks like i put something between the little gap inside of the part where the arm attaches so it doesn't come out so easily. But I don't know what to put.

I have yet to bother reinstalling mine. It doesn't bother me at all. Just hold it on the way down.
