Optima went downhill. I have been looking at the Kinetic batteries lately for my sound system. But I need a decent battery for the stuff that I have.

Kinetic is no joke. I had a 2400 in my celica. They might be expensive. But it has soon bite to them. And you could go with a 1200. Check them out....

I have heard the same thing about the little batteries, if you don't drive it everyday, they lose there juice.

its pretty pointless unless its going into a "race car"
the weight loss is minimal, the only advantage is that theyre smaller and spill proof so they can be mounted at diff angles other than vertical and put somewhere out of sight. (wheel well, bumper, etc.)
optima red and yellow tops are spill proof too, and theyre full size with plenty of cranking ability
