Default Help?!?! Dash and HVAC lights went out

I was installing a Clarion 6.5 inch tv in my car and it came with the PAC unit so I can use my steering wheel controls. I have an led swap to red and white for my guages and HVAC. When I hooked everything up the lights all went out. The only lights that work are the odometer, turn signal, and gear lights. Can anyone help me out or give me a place to start?

Ya check the fuses first. Under the hood then under the steering wheel. If that dont do it then take it to toyota. when my hvac lights went out they replaced them...under my bumper to bumper warranty. Not sure if you have a warranty or not but you could still check. GL

I am going to check the fuses tonight. I am pretty sure it isnt one because the lights flicker in and out. Im not sure but to me they should just stay off if the fuse was blown. I think I have a bad ground maybe? that may be a long shot but just a guess

no but I had to splice into the third wiring harness to hook up the PAC unit. I had to cut into the 6,7, and 8 wire on that harness. It is weird cause when i turn the dial on the guages then the odometer and clock lights all flicker.

Squal, your the one that did my guage swap. Could I have messed up the circuit board or one of the resistors that you installed with the swap?

I fixed the problem. I was looking at the guage fuse and it was the panel fuse that was blown. I thought I had a serious problem on my hands cause the lights would flicker so I didnt think it was a blown fuse. Learn something new everyday. Thanks for the help everyone.

SquallLheart, Will you swap out my steering wheel control lights to white? How much will that be?

if you look in the manual in the specifications chapter, it'll list all the fuses and what they are for.
good to see you fixed it.

I just wouldnt think that there would be like four different fuses for the guage cluster and HVAC. Thanks again
