^ X2 on the reseller ratings....
I found a d3 for under 600 at http://cartronixplus.com/
There aren't many ratings on the place......so i kinda took a gamble. But so far so good.....I'm tracking it on UPS and it should get here by the 5th.
I bought the d3 + ipod cable and it came out to 624 something including shipping. =)

for that price you would be better off going with a eclipse AVN5510
for 100 bucks more you get to retain your steering wheel controls , 7"screen, 2 disc slots and its a much much better sounding unit ...however for $550 the D3 would have been nice

i'm guessin you meant the 5510.
i still think the d3 is the best bang for the buck. you can get steering wheel hookup with the pac adapter too.

yeah my bad, edited
yeah but the pac adapter is like 50 bucks so thats only leaves a 50 dollar difference.. and your getting a lot more for your money at that point with the 5510
