I have a few hours to spare today so i decided what the heck, lets take out the back seat. I was thinking about it the night before at work. I've never used the back seat and can't think of anytime i'd need to haul more than 1 friend. Didn't take long at all! Soooo easy to remove, wish i had done it sooner. After removing i spray painted all the metal, was azure, to a flat black. Try to make it less notiacble from the outside looking in. The rear seats, comes out in 3 pieces, were a noticable amount of weight along with all the hatch pieces. I plan on buying another 19" rim+tire like the ones on my car and keeping it as a spare back there where the doughnut spare is. And later getting a nice set of leather sport seats, nothing ricey like sparco's or recaro's, but something with thicker side bulsters.

you had me going there for a minute... I was wondering why I got cheated out on all that extra sound deadening from the factory, and then you said you painted it!
you know those cloth and plastic panels in the hatch are only held in by some clips and a couple of bolts for the grocery hanger things... Who needs those panels anyways?
running without anything back there does have a disadvantage though, it gets really loud in the cabin. With an exhaust it gets to be a pita.

SRSLY?
How did someone magically stumble upon a 2 year old thread!? HAHAHA! It is pretty funny though. I wanted to take my rear seats out, but then again, I like not hearing all the road noise (even though there's a lot lol.)
