crazy interested in this. the quality / workmanship looks phenomenal.

a question:

does anyone have the 8'' sub installed? i want crispness & punch; not boom. is the 8'' the way to go? what about the dual 7''s? i just want some specific feedback from those who've gotten different sounds from this box.

also - and this is naive, but i didn't see it mentioned above - does the buyer cut the hole for their sub, or does the box come pre-cut based on the buyer's specs? dumb question, i know...

BTW, i agree with all who've attested to $250 being a great deal for this box. hope this won't be the only production run.

Thanks man!

The box comes with the hole for the sub already cut. when it arrives all you need to do is install the sub into the box then install into the car. very simple. As for the 8" sub, i think it was magnetic that got the 8". he is the only one with this box. Honestly, i havent heard the 8" yet but im using the infinity kappa perfect VQ 10" sub and it is one puchy little guy! its a great sub to go with and my personal recomendation. As for the dual 7" subs, i can make one for you. i havent made one yet to try it because everytime i start one, it ends up going to a customer first. If you want one, let me know, just PM me with what you want and your email and shipping address.

let me know if you have anymore questions as im going to stop making these soon since ive had waaaay to many complaints from my neighbors about the smell.

Yeah, I have the 8" box. I put an eD 9kv.2 sub in there and it's not going to win SPL competitions, but that's not what I was going for anyway. This sub, coupled with the eD Nine.4 amp, is VERY punchy for how little the bugger is. Even though I've had it installed for quite a while now, I'm still tuning it, trying out different levels of gain from the amp and headunit.

I can tell you now, that with my setup, there's room for plenty of gain and thump. But I've been conservative lately, running no gain on the amp and it's still very punchy. =P

Just wondering, are your boxes secured to the car in any way, or do they just sit in there. It looks like they just sit from the pics, and I would think they would slide as soon as you turned

Harmonic_tc you can't stop the production line before you create some passenger boxes. I have a second Infinity 10.1 waiting to be put in on the other side.

ritz, I have my box just sitting there in the hole and it doesn't move at all. The box is pretty light but the sub weights a ton and keeps it from moving.

Actually, since I put in my new inifinity amp today, I think I might not end up wanting another box. I was initially underpowered with my MTX amp. Now that I have the Infinity amp (Infinity Reference 611a, 450w rms @4ohm) my Infinity 10.1 sub pounds much harder now. I think if I was to do a 2nd sub it would be more than I feel I need...

DriveEuro my current setup is pretty loud and provides enough bass but I just want the look of a sub on the other side. I think it would be dope.

Has it been determined if a Alpine Type-X 10" would fit with a mounting depth of 8"?

I've heard Jonesy's setup with the Harmonic enclosure and it hits pretty hard, and that was standing behind the car with the hatch open.
