and damnit! that was not my suggestion. i was just saying thats what some other guy said and i would never feel safe doing that.

Theres a reason that if a kid weighs more than 40 lbs, you gotta set up the car seat with the seat belt going through it and NOT use the restraint bar under the seat.

So unless you weigh more than 40 lbs, DON'T DO IT.
