This has to be a $hitty unit or something...
i found this on deals.com. i've never heard of the brand or unit or anything, the price just caught my eyes. it's gotta be a $hitty unit...

any input? i know i'm probably a fool for even clicking on this link, but at $238 for CD/DVD/MP3/MP4/DivX/etc AND built in GPS it seems too good to be true. somebody just tell me not to buy it...

interestingly enough, i googled the unit and found good customer reviews. seems like the only places you can buy from are chinese/japanese stores online. still just sounds sketchy, but it might be worth the shot. i like how the GPS in integrated, so you can listen to your CDs/MP3s/iPOD while the navi is in use. and the bluetooth is integrated into the unit. dang it just sounds too good to be true.
i did find a craigslist add for a pioneer avic d3 in my region for $200. he said it is used and has normal wear, but it does not have navi CDs or the navi antenna. i know this unit is reliable, but i'd have to get the navi discs (~$100?) and an antenna from a local audio shop before i installed it.
any more input guys? idk if i should give such an unknown brand a shot or not, but it seems like such a good deal.

my friend got one of those sketchy units (not that exact one, it was a single din) and it was for a left side drive car. the controls are oriented towards the opposite side.
for example, the volume is on the right side of the radio not the left.
works good though!

Here's the company that makes it:

It's a Chinese company. I saw some of these units in Hong Kong. You get what you pay for. They are cheaply made and I'm not sure if the Nav would work for the US market (Make sure to get a US database).

haha man i might have to give it a shot. i really want navi though without having to have a seperate garmin or tom tom unit. although my mom has a tom tom, but she has a navi in her range rover s/c and my dad has navi in his audi. so if all else fails i could use that. it does have a 12 month warranty, so if anything it should last a year and i could buy a serious unit a year from now. i get my paycheck tmrw...i guess i'm gonna pick it up n let you guys know how it goes!
